1. Copying Other People Wholesale
I have seen several people tip off the templates of my friends' websites wholesale. I mean, talk about unethical! You can copy, but please apply some creativity to it and make it better at least. Do your research! Add more of your own personal examples. This will definitely give you a lot more in terms of your value to the visitor, and prevent the nasty lawyer's letter.2. Promising What you CANNOT deliver
Occasionally, I think people just are eager to give more. I know I am and unfortunately, it was not what I could do. I ended up failing to deliver everything. Fortunately, however, I managed to salvage situations like this to prevent a total loss of credibility. Just be careful when you promise certain things - you have to keep an eye out for your promises. Always have a sheet in front of you to tell you what you have promised, then deliver them in time.3. Flaming People On the Net
In forums and other things you do online, you tent to get into trouble when you attack a person directly. On the Internet it is often easy to access your keyboard. Then, sometimes when you post something, you find it difficult to take it back because it's posted! Sometimes, we need to ascertain ways to manage our emotions online. That way, you can take a step back and create a very positive environment all around.
4. Pretending to have RESULTS, or fabricating them.
This is a no-no. If you want to fabricate results, you are actually defrauding people. If you don't have results, find a way to create them. Maybe you need help along the way, so just ask for it. When you build credibility, remember, there are many ways to create 'proof'. Sometimes, you have to be associated with people who are far more credible than you are. Sing a song on their behalf. But never ever fabricate!
5. Win-Lose Mentality
A win-lose mentality is the worst kind of thing to have when you are an internet marketer. Sure, sometimes, it's easier to just feel someone else is getting the better end of the deal. Whatever the case, be patient and keep contributing to other people, even if it means that you have to be shouted at or accused of things you don't like. I look at the win-win side of things and then bring it to the negotiation table. It's important to make sure your customers don't lose out and it is important that you keep helping them to help you win as well.
6. Assuming that Other People are Less important than you
Ever had the sick feeling that someone if better than you? Well, then never impose that on other people. Everyone is important. Everyone needs to feel this sense that they are 'someone'. Maybe they have a big ego, and maybe they don't. Whatever the case, by treating everyone with respect, you can turn a big potential problem into a harmonious (and possibly profitable) situation for you.Sometimes, you might not realize it, but people do improve and get better. With a good relationship, whoever you used to consider insignificant may grow into importance and then super-cede your importance. I like this quote - ''Be care whom you meet on the way up, because you'll never know who you'll meet on your way down''.
