This is an old method used by Search Engine Optimization specialists to get search engines to notices website, throw them on a blog, and then knock a blog directory's door and say 'yo... there's a new stuff here'. So a spider (a software program designed to go to websites to gather specific information) goes down this directory, notices it is fresh, and adds the blog to a database that allows this blog post to be found on the Internet.
